This assignment that we did is that. We all had to create a magazine of any type but it had to be about us. The rules were to be creative and basically no rules except you can’t use an original. We need to blend a picture together that was point of the assignment. My steps that I took are that I looked for an original magazine that I’m doing and basically use that as copy.
My magazine looks like my face on the cover on the Times magazine. It has headlines about myself and different things mostly about science. It’s mostly plain except different colors in the words red and white. It looks like an Times magazine with the borders. It had white mostly in the back don’t worry the white words have a shadow in the back and in the corners are black.
I’m trying to communicate through my magazine is that I want to be a scientist when I get older. It has different types of sciences that I would probably like to do like. Medicine, Weather and Researching. I try to choose headlines on the magazine that would expression that I would want to do something in science.
I think my magazine is successful in how I presented it but there were some areas I could improve in. Like I could have token more risk in experimenting like putting different pictures in the magazine. Also I’ve could have thought more as an artist then an as just getting this done. I kind of rushed it then took the time too do it.
Lyrical Reflection
The assignment to pick a song any song and put the song into on picture. That means is to put the song on the page and make the pictures go with the song. The rules were that no swear words and if you were going to do a Spanish song you need to translate it into English so we can understand and read it. So basically pick a song that would be easy to have pictures in the background. Also you can put any lyric from the song.
The song I choose was Changes from tupac. I used that song because I listen to that song and it seemed to be easy to me because I listen to that song all the time. I used pictures from New York, the war in the Middle East, to a homeless person; poverty and finally I used a picture in the sky and a picture of Barrack Obama. The type of Photoshop I used was mostly filters and opacity.
I used the lyrics to create the pictures. Meaning the lyrics he said explained a lot and so basically whatever he said I put it as a picture. The mood of the song was mostly strong and how he wanted to things to change his words he said we very powerful. Also my feeling toward the song was great what he said in that the song he meant it he didn’t use it just to rhythm.
I learned new thing with Photoshop this year then last because I did Photoshop in my CIS 3 class and she did teach us anything to do with filters. I like it because it can change a picture without me changing the picture itself. I was very successful in this project I actually like it because it was dealing with something I know how to do and like to do. Also I wouldn’t do anything different in the project its fine how it is.
