Hybrid

The assignment this quarter was to create an animal hybrid. The steps that I had to go through during this project are first to find three animals that I wanted to use. Second I had to pick one part of the three animals that I have chosen. Third I had to combine the three parts into a animal than color it give it highlights and shadows a background than your done. I had to include in this project was a background, highlights, shadows, and also we had to give it a name.

 

I choose to use a tiger, an eagle and a husky dog. I used from the tiger was its body because I think I could run like a tiger, I used the huskies head because I feel that I’m adventurous like a dog and I like huskies dogs and finally I used the eagles wings because I wish I could fly like them. My background included white grass with gray clouds and a black background giving the feeling of nighttime in the picture.

 

The three animals that I choose represent me personality are. The tiger is that I could run as a tiger. The eagle is simple I wish I could fly like that always out in the open flying freely. And finally the husky dog I feel that I’m adventurous like them. The background environment relates to my animal is that it only comes out at night and mostly when is snow on the ground.

 

I feel that my assignment was great; I feel that my animal came out perfect. At first it was hard for me because I couldn’t find the animals that I wanted but when got my animals together the creativity just came out. I like best about my animal is the body because it really bring the whole picture together with the stripes down the body like a tiger I probably spend a lot of time on it. The pen tool was the one thing I learned that was new.

The assignment was about that we had to create a self-portrait of are selves has to be two pages of it and has to have a background also has to have words in it. The steps we took in this project we had to first take a picture of ourselves than put it on our computers and trace the picture on illustrator. When we did all of that we had to get a background to the picture but we could have created anything for our background. But we had to use illustrator for a program.

 

I had to trace my image though out the whole thing and yes I did mess up a lot and I got frustrated because I did. The text I use was simple just regular text but I use the words to go with the picture. My background for my first one was a lot of orbs and put them on top of each other with my picture and the text behind one or two orbs. The second one I put my picture next vitamin water and put the text above the picture.

 

The way that I cropped my piece was interesting because I never token a picture and trace the picture and put it in the document. My background for the first one was that I was trying to create a space feeling where I’m a shadow in space and for the second one I put a vitamin water bottle in the picture because I like vitamin water. The text for the first one is simple and for the second I was trying to be funny.

 

Honestly I didn’t feel that I did that good on this project because I was working with something new. But if I had to choose one part of the project I’d like about it would be the first picture I did the whole. A new tool that I learned is that the trace tool and the shapes tool because with the shape tool I learned different shapes like the orb.

 

 

PSA

The assignment was to create a PSA, which is a Public Service Announcement. We were allowed to choose our own Announcement. The rules were that you needed to have images on the PSA also have 3 facts on it. And we needed to have music on it also. And finally upload it to our blogs at the end.

 

The PSA that I choose was forest fires because every summer I always hear that fires are destroying the forest. The three statistics that I included in my PSA was In recent years wildfires have burned up to 9 million acres of land, my second one was on average more than 100 million clear 4 to 5 million acres in the U.S. every year. Finally my final fact was that forest fires could spread though the wind too destroys more things like house, forests and lives. The song that I choose was Dead and Gone by T.I I fell that the song goes perfectly with the PSA.

 

I only had a few issues. The first one was that the order the images should go in. The second issue was the beginning of the announcement was too blank nothing there so I fixed that. Then the song and how too get the song on the video because I couldn’t download the song because it didn’t let me.

 

I think I did great on this project it was easy for me too understand how to do it because we already did something like this. And also I knew what was my PSA was going to be. The best part of my announcement is the beginning because I like how I showed a little fires and then showed a big one and said this what a little fire can do. I feel that nothing needs too be improved.

Photographic Truth

 

The assignment was to create six pictures that had our bodies in the picture. The rules of this project were that we had to use Photoshop and had to be a picture of us. I think the hope high school expectations that this project addressed was creativity too allow the students to be creative by doing this project. I know because I had to use my mind and creativity to find a spot too put myself in and try to be funny.

 

My book was mostly about ford cars the history of them so I had different types of cars; also I have a picture with Henry Ford and the old assembly line. I had a picture of a car parked and me under the car like it ran me over, another picture I had me in the front seat of a Thunderbird like I was driving it. Finally I have a picture of Henry ford and I was walking right behind him. I needed to use a lot of layers and the lasso too cut one picture into another.

 

My theme was from the past too now so I went with cars from how they change from when they were first invented too now. I choose this theme because I love cars mostly Fords. I wanted too pick all Ford cars but I went with only four pictures and one picture of Henry Ford and another picture of the old assembly line. 

 

I learned how too put one picture and combine it with another one never did that before. Also how too use layers too make it look like something is behind something. I like it I learned new things that I’ve never learned before. At some points I found the project difficult like how too put a reflection on a car I found that hard too do. If I would do something different probably take different pictures of myself and did more with the pictures.
